I was a pretty typical, middle aged man, age 51, had been a runner, couldn’t run any longer, and was struggling to maintain fitness with a combination of stationary bike, healthy diet and weight lifting. As SWEAT was near opening over 3 years ago, I stopped in and read a brochure that immediately captured my interest. Kegan Corkhill, one of the owners, had impressive credentials which included something I had not heard of, Muscle Activation Therapy (MAT). Muscle Activation Therapy helps me keep a balanced range of motion with all muscles activated and participating in movements in my life. I have multiple limitations including bilateral knee replacements, surgically repaired compound fracture of my left clavicle, a Grade 1 Spondylolisthesis at L5-S1, and osteoarthritis of my entire spine and hands. I would have been at risk for serious injury with the wrong trainer, but Kegan’s expertise took all that into account and with his help I have a body fat under 10%, can still work busy shifts in the ER and enjoy physical activities with my kids and grandkids. I enjoy working with pretty much anyone that is motivated to work hard. I like working with golfers, runners and anyone that has a current or past injury that needs special attention from a therapy and rehabilitation focus.

About:

Tyler has been married to his wife Amy for 10 years and they have a 2 and a half year old little girl named Abigail and a little boy, Jacob, due in Oct and a Vizsla named Sadie. When he’s not at the gym working or training himself he enjoys playing golf and photography.
