Testimonials

Autumn and I have worked together for years and I can not recommend her enough. She has helped me to develop strength and toning around loose and arthritic joints, with great results. Her easy going temperament makes you forget that you are actually working full-out! I love our sessions.

- Christine A.

For the past 8 years, Autumn has guided me through recovery of chronic fatigue, breast cancer, and several other ailments. At 55, I am very concerned with my quality of life as I age. Autumn's blend of compassion, persistence, and humor has allowed me to maintain and even grow my level of fitness despite my illnesses. She is very knowledgeable in both fitness and nutrition, is always learning even more, and is able to customize my program to work around any limitations I may have. I recommend her highly to anyone who wants to improve their level of health and fitness.

- Nancy B.

Today I feel great and am in the best shape of my life at 38 years old thanks to Autumn's workouts and nutritional guidance. Autumn has tailored my workouts through different phases over the last 3 years including working out with me through my 4th pregnancy without the complications I had with exercise during my first 3 pregnancies. Since the birth of my 4th child 1 year ago, Autumn has led me to lose 20 pounds and over 15 inches and I feel fantastic! She has helped me learn new healthy eating habits that are reasonable and easy to follow even with 4 young kids.
She understands women's bodies and the challenges we have in losing weight and maintaining healthy eating habits and is able to truly tailor a plan that works for each individual's goals and lifestyle. I have worked out with 4 different trainers during my adult life and was never able to stick with it as they were too "hard core" and difficult for me to follow. I have had an incredible workout whether I was pregnant, post-partum or now when I am in good shape and can do a much harder workout. I have never looked and felt better thanks to having Autumn as my partner!

- Ashley A.

When I first joined Sweat, I was nervous about getting healthy and working out in a gym. I was concerned about the intimidating looking weight machines. I decided to hire a personal trainer. Then I met Autumn, my trainer! She has been incredibly motivational to me! I look forward to my workouts now. I have lost inches, pounds and I feel great. I sleep better, and I feel more positive in general.
Autumn pushes me harder than I would ever push myself, so I am seeing incredible results! I have a way to go on my health journey, but I know that I have a great plan and all the support I need to reach my fitness goals.

- Deborah H.

Autumn has been my personal trainer for the past 2 years. She presents a challenging and diverse workout for me each time. She is extremely sensitive to my special arthritis challenges. I have made great strides in flexibility and strength. Our workouts pass quickly partly because of our exchange of nutrition and weight loss tips!

- Susan S.

I started working with Autumn in August 2011. After my first few sessions with her, I realized she really understood what I needed. She pushes me to the limit, but also understands when I literally can’t give any more. I lost around 30 pounds! Autumn is a wonderful trainer, a great motivator, and an amazingly encouraging person. I am grateful for her help and her friendship.

- Melissa M.

Autumn has been my trainer on Mondays and Fridays for the past six years. She has greatly improved my ability to shop, play bridge, and go to the opera and concerts. I am grateful to her for it. At 98, all of the above is a blessing and I appreciate her concerns for my well-being.

- Eileen G.

Autumn is a wonderful trainer for many reasons but mostly because she makes you work hard while having fun. She talks to you like a friend so it makes the planks, squats, and lunges seem easier but in actuality you are working hard but enjoying her company. At the end of my 3 month training sessions I was leaner, my core was super strong and I looked and felt great for my wedding!

Education and Certifications:

Bachelor of Science in Education from Baylor
UniversityNASM CPTGray Institute
3DMAPS Certified

Training Expertise:

I bring my knowledge from being a former collegiate athlete and professional runner into every workout plan I create. I help my clients reach their specific goals, while encouraging them to bring out their inner athlete.

About:

I grew up just north of Dallas and went to Baylor University before landing at Sweat. When I am not in the gym, I'm out in the sun doing something active or traveling as much as I can!

Testimonials

I started working with Erin Bedell two years ago coming off major back surgery. She has brought me back to a level of fitness far beyond where I was, even before my injury, in both strength and conditioning. Erin creates workouts that hit core and balance as well as resistance, with an intensity and variety that makes each session memorable. With her athletic background and years of training and competing at the highest level, Erin has a terrific knowledge of training regimens, diet, and kinesiology. She designs programs to fit and challenge each individual, and all with personality and enthusiasm
that makes it fun to be in the gym. Whether you want to start getting in shape or take fitness to the next level, I highly recommend Erin.

- Cliff Hutchinson

I have been working with Erin twice a week for well over a year now. Erin has been the key piece to my fitness and general health puzzle. She helped me lose my post baby weight in
four months! She is always willing to do the extra work: writing extra workouts for when I travel, prescribing specific cardio routines for my off days, or rescheduling when conflict arises. With a hectic work and life schedule, I know I can always count on an entertaining hour and challenging workout with Erin.

Katie Corkill
Starting year: 2004
Education and Certifications:

B.S. in Health and Human Performance and M.B.A. from Fort Hays State University, RTS (Resistance Training Specialist), ACSM, MAT Jumpstarts, Cooper Master Fitness Specialist, Biomechanics

Training Expertise:

I enjoy working with clients of all fitness levels. There is no one better to train than someone who has goals and is motivated to accomplish them.

About:

My biggest hobby is my family; I love to spend time at home with my husband, daughter and 2 boxers. Cooking is something I enjoy almost daily, trying and creating new recipes. When I can, I like to train and race in a variety of road and multi-sport races.

Testimonials

I met Katie in 2007. I was a pretty typical, middle aged man, age 51, had been a runner, couldn’t run any longer, and was struggling to maintain fitness with a combination of stationary bike, healthy diet and weight lifting. I weighed 196 lbs. Katie and I discussed my fitness goals. I wanted to weigh what I did in high school, 175 lbs. Katie quickly concluded that I would NEVER get there with what I was doing, my weight lifting wasn’t high intensity, and I lacked the muscle mass to fuel a fat-burning metabolism. We started with a 30-minute, free session. I could barely feed myself for several days, because the muscles in my arms were so sore I couldn’t properly control a fork. Obviously, she was onto something, so I started training with her 2 days per week, then 3, eventually 5 days per week, an hour each session. At my next physical at the Cooper Clinic, 10 months later, I weighed 168 lbs, my body fat was 11.5%, my stress test time increased from 23 minutes to 38 ½ minutes, every metric they measure was vastly improved. So much so, my doctor asked what I was doing differently, and I told him about Katie. He called her that day.
Eight years later, I continue to train with Katie, but I’m also able to train myself when I’m not in town. She’s taught me how to properly train to maintain fitness. If you’re interested in results, and getting the maximum use of your time in a training session, Katie is the trainer for you.

Training Expertise:

I have years of experience working with all types of people from professional athletes wanting to perform better to those in their late 80’s just wanting to move better. I love to work with those that are motivated to move, feel and look better.

About:

I’ve been blessed with a beautiful wife and daughter and two crazy dogs. When I’m not at work I love spending time with them, working on cars, anything outdoors and OU football! BOOMER!

Testimonials

I’ve worked out at many gyms and health clubs over the course of my life and SWEAT is my favorite by far. As SWEAT was near opening over 3 years ago, I stopped in and read a brochure that immediately captured my interest. Kegan Corkhill, one of the owners, had impressive credentials which included something I had not heard of, Muscle Activation Therapy (MAT). I was approaching age 65 at the time and for a year I had a nagging pain in my left neck which had continued despite chiropractic manipulation, osteopathic manipulation, acupuncture, stretching and massage. I am an emergency physician and assumed it was old age arthritis that I was just going to have to live with. One MAT session with Kegan and it was gone and never came back, and he’s been helping me with weekly sessions since.

Muscle Activation Therapy helps me keep a balanced range of motion with all muscles activated and participating in movements in my life. I have multiple limitations including bilateral knee replacements, surgically repaired compound fracture of my left clavicle, a Grade 1 Spondylolisthesis at L5-S1, and osteoarthritis of my entire spine and hands. I would have been at risk for serious injury with the wrong trainer, but Kegan’s expertise took all that into account and with his help I have a body fat under 10%, can still work busy shifts in the ER and enjoy physical activities with my kids and grandkids. He’s helping me avoid frailty as I age. Of interest, I’ve watched him train younger people, including a guy aspiring to be a navy seal, and the work outs he takes them through are very different than mine. He spends time designing a program that fits each individual’s unique needs.

There are other reasons besides Kegan that SWEAT is special. The equipment is state of the art and they keep the place spotless. It’s a comfortable place to go because everyone who works there is so friendly, from the person at the desk who greets you to the other trainers on the floor. It looks cool with garage door style partitions that open up an entire side of the club in nice weather, high ceilings and a unique floor of beautifully lacquered concrete.

I love quotes and the following by Gwen Weising captures what I have experienced at SWEAT. “Going far beyond the call of duty, doing more than others expect… is what excellence is all about. And it comes from striving, maintaining the highest standards, looking after the smallest detail, and going the extra mile. Excellence means doing your best. In everything. In every way.”

Training Expertise:

I have years of experience working with all types of people from past and present college athletes wanting to perform better to those later in their athletic careers (70's to 80's) just wanting to move better. I am a motivator, one of my favorite things is to help people see there potential and act on it. I want you to be the absolute best you can be! God Bless

About:

The son of a Dietician, Lee is devoted to an overall healthy lifestyle. Members will appreciate his approachability and the ability to make his clients feel comfortable and confident in their workouts. Lee met his wife at Sky Ranch, a summer camp, and they married in 2009. He now has two handsome, active sons. Lee is a successful kidney transplant recipient and still maintains an active lifestyle of sports, outdoor activities, and spending time with his family.

Testimonials

Since becoming a member of Sweat, where Lee Goggin is my trainer, my well being has vastly improved. I've not only gained muscular strength from his knowledge of body mechanics but also inner strength. Seriously, body and mind go hand in hand!
I cannot imagine not having Lee as my trainer. Even on days when I just don't have the energy, he knows how to bring out the best in me so when our time is up I think to myself, "I'm so glad I worked out today!" Thank you Lee!!
Thank you Sweat for having Lee Goggin as part of your team!!

Respectfully,

- Dottie Dubé

When I first started training with Lee Goggin in 2009 I was nearly 100 pounds overweight, pre-diabetic, suffered from hypertension, and had many poor habits. I was 39 at the time and my family doctor of 15 years said if I didn't start making some real changes in my diet and activities I would be facing serious health issues later. I knew I needed to start but didn't know where to begin and wasn't sure of what to do. Lee was the answer to my problems. He taught me proper diet and exercise habits and within one year I had lost all of the weight, my blood pressure dropped to healthy levels, and my family doctor exclaimed that I was the model of good health. Today, 5 years later, with the lessons I learned from Lee, I have completed several military races and even placed 4th in one, in the Elite Division. I rock climb, body build, and generally have a much better social life due to the confidence I have gained in myself. Without Lee, I am unsure I would have ever achieved all that I have in my health.

- Paul Soutner

Lee Goggins has been a complete game changer for me and my workout. Being a tall and lanky father of 3 small kids, I came to him in need of a major upper body overhaul, and in the 7 months I have been training with him, Lee has completely turned around my physique. Not only have I added muscle mass but also I am the strongest I’ve been in my entire life. Very pleased with Lee.

Thanks,

- CK

I've been working with Lee as my trainer for a number of years now. One thing that has impressed me about Lee is his knowledge of bio-mechanics. When I first started working out with him, I had been working out on my own and had really messed up my knees doing poor exercises (or doing exercises with poor form). Lee was able to work with me and build the muscles to support and rebuild my knees. I'm now able to run, which I honestly never would have imagined when I first came to him.
I'm really glad that Sweat has Lee on its team of trainers.

Thanks!

- Kirk

Lee understands what I am trying to get out of my program and motivates me to achieving my goals. He makes the time pass quickly and I always leave the gym feeling a sense of accomplishment.

Testimonials

I have lived in 6 states from California to Florida. I have worked out and been involved with fitness and gyms for the past 20 years. With that said I have enjoyed the last 2 years working out at SWEAT and their trainers more than any other place I've been in the country. I have had the privilege of working consistently with 3 Sweat employees over the past 2 years. Joe was my first introduction to SWEAT. I credit his outgoing personality and mindfulness to pair me with the right trainers to help me meet my fitness goals. Leigh is a driven and dedicated trainer and Pilates instructor. She has worked extremely hard to coach and help guide me through developing my own Pilates routine. Her work ethic and dedication is without question. She has an amazing knowledge of how the human body works, above and beyond most trainers. She has been a source of motivation and encouragement.

Jessica Is always eager to listen and motivate. She too has an amazing scope of knowledge of exercises and understanding of how the human body works. She is able to give input when appropriate as her knowledge base goes far beyond basic muscle exercises. She leads by example and guides witha gentle hand. Continually encouraging me to stretch beyond my perceived limitations and blocks.

Together they are a gift to the training profession and especially those lucky enough to be trained by them.

I would like to end by saying I absolutely recommend SWEAT and it's amazing trainers to help meet any fitness goals and to stay motivated.

Sincerely,

- Diana Towsley

I was introduced to Leigh by a friend who had been working out with her... Two training sessions later, I was hooked and now two years later I both love and dread my workouts. Leigh focuses on results - the results you want. I like to be challenged, learn new things and, most recently, receive the "excellent" ranking for my age group when it comes time to my physicals. Leigh helped me get there and stay there.

Training Expertise:

Mike targets individuals who are just beginning their fitness journey, along with the seasoned gym-goers looking to take their bodies to the next level. Through physical training and mental discipline he will help you change your life by creating long-term fitness plans to achieve a life transformed by health and wellness.

About:

Mike moved to Dallas in 2007 to attend Dallas Theological Seminary where he received his Masters of Theology in 2011. He now lives in Oak Cliff with his wife Aletha and their three children. When he’s not training clients or working out himself, you’ll find him working on the complete gut-remodel of their Oak Cliff home.

Testimonials

The thing I immediately liked about Mike was the time he took to understand my personal situation, injury history, and goals. The next thing immediately after that is the good challenging workouts, which are exactly what I need to keep motivated. Mike continues to design workouts that challenge me every time we train together. He is professional, reliable, positive and a task master when the situation calls for it. After every workout I leave the gym feeling better than when I came in!

- Mike A.

Before training with Mike, I had never exercised beyond randomly walking with friends. Once I started training with Mike, I quickly lost body fat, twenty pounds to be exact, gained lean muscle, and experienced improved energy levels. I can easily say that I am now in the best shape of my life!

- Lisa

My brothers and I have been trained by Mike for 9 months. In that time, Mike has helped immensely with our routine, focus and accountability to exercise. Mike consistently gives us great workouts and he brings a funny and witty personality, as well as a vast amount of insight and experience. We are grateful to have him as a trainer. Everyone should be so lucky to receive so much value for the cost!

- Sam

Finding time to workout with a busy schedule is challenging. Wasting time in the gym with anything less than optimum efficiency wasn't an option with me. Mike keeps you from wasting your time. He designs a workout for each muscle group and tracks your progress on his iPad. Plus he has a detailed eye for form to make sure each muscle group really is getting the workout intended. On top of all of that, Mike's friendly demeanor and devotion to his family makes him relatable to just about anybody.

- Justin

I have been training with Mike for almost a year now. The experience has been rewarding for many reasons. He changes up the routine so it is never boring and never easy. Appointments are always confirmed and can be rearranged easily without complaint. He's very accommodating! He's a great conversationalist and a great listener, so the time always flies. I would definitely say Mike's the best trainer I've ever worked with. I look great, feel great and look forward to all of my workouts!

- Katie

I enthusiastically recommend Mike Reil. I want really competent professionals to take care of the important things in my life that are outside of my expertise, such as OPAs for taxes, doctors for medical areas, and Mike for my personal fitness. He is not only extremely competent; he is fun to work with. An hour of training can seem very long or short; with Mike it is short.

- Don

I am recovering from multiple surgeries on my knee and Mike has been really helpful in detailing a workout program that
not only focuses on strengthening the muscles surrounding my knee but also in ensuring that I get an outstanding overall body workout. He has been very reliable and fun, I enjoy our twice weekly sessions!

- DT

Mike has helped me get closer to my goals while pushing me harder to achieve more with each session. He is a great trainer for all levels of fitness while also understanding limitations and weaknesses. He has created workouts to mitigate limitations and strengthen weaknesses. I would suggest Mike to anyone who is just starting to get back in to shape or someone who is looking for further challenges to your usual routine.

- Turner

I have not worked with a trainer since high school prior to pairing with Mike about three and one half years ago. With Mike's help, I have been able to maintain my commitment to training for one hour a day, three times a week (and add additional cardio sessions in between). Mike is timely and consistent with our appointments which has helped my attendance. Once I arrive for a training session, Mike effortlessly guides me through rotating workouts for different muscle groups. The money I have spent training is the best investment I have ever made as it has paid dividends in the form of sharper mental focus, better sleep, overall better physical health. I recommend Mike if you are seeking similar goals.

- Chuck

Mike has been my personal trainer for several years now. I have what the doctor has called loose joints, having dislocated both my shoulders a number of times. Today, I am stronger and can do things I enjoy without the fear of dislocation. My results are a product of Mike’s consistent training and continually pushing me as he adjusts the training program. Mike’s professionalism, positive attitude, knowledge and commitment to his clients his work is second to none.

- Brad

Sweat is the first time I have ever worked out with a trainer. For about a year I worked out with Mike and then I took several
months off. Having recently picked it back up, I can confirm that working out with Mike provides more structure,
accountability and results.

- Brian

I've been working with Mike at SWEAT for over four years. I had worked with a couple of other trainers previously, but their approaches seemed directionless, and I wasn't seeing any results. Mike started me off with a plan focused on what I wanted,
full-body building and maintaining of lean muscle, and the results followed! Mike is consistent in changing up my routine regularly to avoid adaptation, and is attentive to addressing any special needs (such as my bothersome shoulder). In addition to all of his professional expertise, Mike is a personable, down-to-earth guy who makes the pain of building a better body a little bit easier to bear.

Resistance Training Specialist- Continuum Training, Ortho-Kinetics Professional Trainer, Muscle Activation Techniques- Jumpstart, The Cooper Institute- Biomechanics of Resistance Training, National Academy of Sports Medicine- Certified Personal Trainer

Training Expertise:

I specialize in post-rehabilitation/pain-management clients along with weight loss, strength athletes, and overall fitness. In a training session I will evaluate the clients current physical state, the amount of motion at each joint, the bodies ability to generate force and stabilize specific positions. Furthermore, I will create a plan to improve weak areas while giving attention to what is already strong.

About:

I am a native Texan and happily married to my Minnesotan wife since 2013. We are expecting our first child in November 2015. I am a fan of Mixed Martial Arts, Power lifting and Wrestling. When I am not training I enjoy reading Philosophy and Science.

Testimonials

I started working with Patrick in May of 2014. I had done “something” to my right leg. I was unable to walk without pain and could not work out at all. I tried massage, acupuncture and chiropractor adjustments. Nothing seemed to help. I was referred to Patrick by another trainer. We started with MAT (Muscle Activation Technique) and I had immediate relief after my first session. I committed to come for either treatment and/or training for 2-3 times a week depending on my work schedule. Slowly we started adding light weight training. At this point if I could lift 5 lbs. on a leg extension I was doing good!! With continued MAT and personal training with Patrick I regained full mobility in my right after 5 months. I now can do leg curls with 50 lbs., squats with no pain and dead lifts. He is the best trainer I ever had and I firmly believe he is the reason that I can do my daily routine both in and out of the gym with no pain.

Thank you

Tyler is a fantastic trainer. He has knowledge and expertise regarding all areas of fitness, diet, and health, with a fantastic ability to communicate that knowledge as well. In addition, he is a great friend and motivator. Without him the progress I've made would've taken much longer and it's already taken 5+ years. - Tim Garrett

Working out with Tyler for the past year has not only helped me gain strength, but also finally start to address long standing chronic pain related to poor posture at work. He challenges we to always push a little more, while at the same time keeps me laughing all work-out long. To accomplish all of this at 5:30 AM takes a true talent!

Tyler has made such a difference in my life! I have a nerve condition in my lower legs that compromises my balance and with Tyler’s expertise and encouragement over the last three years, I am stronger and have much better balance. Not only do I appreciate Tyler, but the entire experience at SWEAT has been wonderful. Thank you!
